2026 HopeHealth Honorees

The 10th HopeHealth Human Dignity Award
This special award is given to those in our community who have dedicated themselves to the essence of hospice: to provide comfort, compassion and dignity to patients, and hope and healing to their families. Dignity at end of life means recognizing the person, their rich history, their lifetime of relationships and their desire for autonomy.
Mukesh Jain, MD
Mukesh Jain, MD is the eighth dean of medicine and biological sciences at Brown University, senior vice president for health affairs, and senior associate provost for life sciences. He is internationally recognized as an outstanding researcher and physician scientist and has received numerous honors, including election to the National Academy of Medicine. While he is well known for his academic excellence, we recognize him with the Human Dignity Award for his kindness, compassion, and commitment to equity. HopeHealth’s founder, Stanley Aronson, MD, was the founding dean of the Brown University medical school, so it is a special pleasure to honor Dean Jain on HopeHealth’s 50th anniversary.

Spirit of Hope Award:
This special award recognizes the extraordinary expertise and compassion of a hospice aide at HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care. With exquisite sensitivity, hospice aides care for patients at their most vulnerable. As an integral part of the care team, hospice aides support patients and their families to live as comfortably and full as possible. The honoree will be announced at the event!
