Advance Directives: What Families Should Know
Caring for a Loved One with Dementia
This session of our Caregiver Confidence Education Series will review the characteristics of each stage of dementia, discuss common challenges in providing care, and identify communication and care tips for your daily interactions with your loved one living with dementia.

Caring for a loved one strains even the most resilient people. In this workshop, we will discuss strategies for dealing with caregiver stress and learn effective ways to preserve your own health and well-being.
Dementia and Hospice Eligibility
How do you know when your loved one with dementia is eligible for hospice services? This workshop in our Dementia Caregiver Education Series offers a focused look at Medicare hospice guidelines and the qualifying criteria as well as contributing factors that lead to eligibility for hospice care.
Holiday Tips for the Dementia Caregiver
The holidays can be challenging for anyone but add in the complications of communication and altered senses that come with dementia and they can be incredibly difficult. This session of our Dementia Caregiver Education Series will discuss situations that can occur and tips for handling them if they do.

When caring for a loved one requires more than we can do on our own, we need to know what services are out there to help us. In this workshop we will review the options available at all stages of illness, how they differ and how to know which one is the right choice for your loved one.
The Grief Journey of the Dementia Caregiver
In this workshop we will discuss how grief changes for dementia caregivers at each stage of the disease—from anticipatory grief to bereavement. Identifying the caregiver’s greatest area of stress will also be a part of the discussion. This workshop is part of our Caregiver Confidence Education Series for family caregivers.
